One of the best things about a mechanical engineering degree is how broad it is, so you can enter a variety of fields! There is more flexibility with this degree compared to one in say biomedical, computer, environmental, or aerospace engineering. In addition, if you know you want to be an engineer but aren't sure of exactly one, this would be a great focus for you! Most of the projects you will work on will involve math, and there may be added stress due to deadlines that mechanical engineers often have to meet.

Here are some daily activities you will almost certainly encounter daily as a mechanical engineer:

-data drive decisions

-working with your hands

-LOTS of meetings

-checking and responding to emails

-writing test protocols

-troubleshooting test issues

-collaborating and communicating with others
